Cafe di Scala is located in a Century Old Victorian Mansion a few blocks west of Downtown Des Moines in the Historic Sherman Hill Neighborhood. The Cafe and Wine Bar is located on the first floor, while the owner/chef occupies the upstairs residence.

The Cafe is noted as one of the most romantic dining experiences in the metro area. The cuisine evolves seasonally, while the wines are chosen carefully to compliment each ingredient. Combining the philosophy of “Fresh and Local” along with desserts and homemade pastas crafted daily, guests will be greeted with both imagination and tradition.

If you are searching for a Cozy, European Environment to spend an evening, guests may visit Thursday, Friday and Saturday. The Cafe is open from 5-10 pm and hosts Live Jazz Series throughout the year on Saturday evenings.
