We usually don’t like to toot our own horn too often, but once per year, Des Moines Cityview Magazine does it’s annual “Best of Des Moines” competition and occasionally we liked to be liked. Last year, we were fortunate enough to win “Best Wait Staff” and earn the distinction of Runner-Up for such prestigious categories as “Best Chef” and “Best Restaurant.” This year, we’d like to win the “Best Restaurant” and “Best Chef” competition. Please take a minute of your day today to vote for Cafe di Scala for “Best Restaurant,” “Best Wait Staff” and Chef Phil Shires as “Best Chef” if you feel we deserve this honor. January 9th, 2012Chef Phil Shires and Some Lovely Food Photos
October 21st, 2011Many of you have gotten to know our own Chef Phil Shires over the years. He’s a good friend, he’s got great taste in music and he’s a master at the art of food.
One of his many gifts is his perfection of seafood. Over the past few months or so, we’ve been posting photos to our Facebook page some of his many beauties. We thought we’d take a few minutes to share with you some of these spectacular creations.
We hope you enjoy these photos and take some time soon to taste some of the best of what Chef Phil has to offer.
Enjoy!
